This  first time event in Cresskill will provide information and resources to  educate the public about the challenges Alzheimer’s disease and other  forms of dementia poses to afflicted individuals and their families.There will be a variety of trainings, educational seminars and resources to help raise awareness. All are free and open to the public.

3-4pm “Questions You’ve Wanted to Ask a Neurologist but Were Afraid to Ask” Presenter: Dr. Olga Noskin Palisades Rehabilitation Center 220 Knickerbocker Road, Cresskill

Additional Activities During the Week Include:

  • By appointment only, Monday-Friday 10-2pm, Free Memory Screening at the Palisades Rehabilitation Center.
  • Cresskill Library will be the center for distribution of information and  resources for caregivers.
  • During Cresskill Alzheimer’s Awareness Week, Cresskill High School biology students will be assgned to learn about  the effects of      Alzheimer’s disease on the brain.
  • Girl Scout and student  volunteers will distribute brochures to the community.
  • Kings  Supermarket will have education literature on Alzheimer’s disease for  their employees.
  • Local merchants will be offering gift certificates to  show their support tocaregivers.
